in the top 50 of the world's courses by international golf magazines.
Superbly maintained and lush with mature trees and thick vegetation, the
Rose Garden more than lives up to its name in substance as well as tranquility.
The course is rather flat, with narrow tree-lined fairways and heavily-bunkered
greens. The par-five holes are perhaps the highlight of the round, particularly
the signature-hole 500 yard 11th, where the player must hit his tee shot
to the right side of the fairway in order to be able to negotiate the
left hand dog-leg. This tricky second shot, must be followed up with a
deft touch shot over a large bunker into a large green . Rose Garden operates
its own hotel, which from February through April is kept full with golf
tourists enjoying the lovely setting and good service. Located only about 45 minutes from the centre of Bangkok. |
